Cerberus Group expands into Leeds

Cerberus, the debt recovery and asset management services provider, is expanding its presence in Leeds with a move to bigger premises on Park Place.

Heading up the new office is Richard Parkin who joins Cerberus with 25 years experience working within the sector.

In his early career he provided a debt collection service to large law firms and subsequently worked for Chatsworth & Co insolvency practitioners for 12 years. Most recently he worked for himself introducing insolvency and business recovery opportunities to insolvency practitioners in the region.

The opening of the new office comes on the back of a very successful year for Cerberus, which employs more than 100 people in its Manchester headquarters.

Group director, Simon Merrett, believes Leeds will prove to be a successful location for Cerberus.

“Having established a presence in the Leeds market only six months ago we have already formed some excellent working relationships with many of the insolvency practitioners, lenders and accountants in the area. It has also enabled us to better service our existing clients in Yorkshire.

“With Richard’s knowledge of the market and the contacts he has built up over the years we are hoping to see the Leeds office expand rapidly with the creation of additional jobs.”

Speaking about his appointment, Richard Parkin said,

“I am delighted to be joining a company that is well respected throughout the North of England for delivering effective advice and solutions in the recovery of distressed assets and debt.

“The Group has built a formidable team that is able to provide in-depth expertise across asset appraisal, evaluation and realisation, as well as having specific knowledge of credit, risk management and recovery.”
