Cerberus expands into Birmingham with key appointment
We are delighted to announce that we are expanding further with the opening of a new office in Birmingham.
The opening coincides with the key appointment of Jon Tullock, who joins as a director to lead the new team in the Midlands.
Jon joins from Leeds law firm Shulmans where he was in charge of the commercial recoveries team.
While there he established a team of nine with responsibility for commercial debt recovery actions, including county court and high court proceedings, possession litigation and asset recovery work. Working closely with funders and insolvency practitioners, he developed a highly successful insolvency litigation team and a large business-to-business pre-legal team.
In addition he trained clients’ credit control teams in both debt collection and he law and credit control processes.
Jon, who has 14 years’ experience within the sector and is a member of the Institute of Credit Managers, is looking forward to the new challenge.
“Having mentioned to Cerberus that I was relocating to the Midlands due to family commitments, they told me of their plans to open further offices throughout the UK and asked if I would like to join them in launching the Birmingham office.
“I have worked with Cerberus for many years and have always found them to be extremely professional and ethical. As a group they are forward thinking and ambitious, so I had no hesitation in accepting the new role.
Speaking about the expansion, director Sarah Roscoe said,
“These are exciting times for the Group as we build on the success of both Manchester and Leeds. We have been planning to open an office in Birmingham, so when Jon told us of his decision to relocate it gave us the perfect opportunity to bring those plans to fruition.
“Jon has a wealth of experience within the sector which will prove invaluable to our clients. He has a great reputation within the industry and we are all looking forward to working closely with him to develop our presence in the Midlands.”
The opening of the new office comes a year after we successfully expanded into Leeds from our Manchester head office.
