New Director for Cerberus Asset Management

Matt Bateman has been promoted to Director of Cerberus Asset Management, with the responsibility for the logistical operation of the 30,000 square foot warehouse and 3.5-acre site at the headquarters in Salford, Manchester.

Matt joined Cerberus in 2008 as Operations Manager and has since worked his way up through the company to become a Director.

Matt and his team will be responsible for the removal, transportation and secure storage of assets and stock, on behalf of insolvency practitioners and lenders prior to disposal.

Cerberus also provides companies that may be going through a difficult trading period the ability to quickly generate cash through the sale of assets and stock, which can be securely held within the warehouse, prior to being auctioned.

Commenting on Matt’s appointment, Andrew Roe, Managing Director of Cerberus said, “Matt has built an excellent reputation for carrying out instructions with the highest standards of professionalism to not only comply with but to exceed, where possible, industry standards.

“As we operate throughout the UK and across all industry sectors and asset types, large and small, it is a huge logistical operation to access, collect and securely store the goods prior to them being sold.

“More often than not clients need an immediate response and we have to be available on a 24/7 basis. Our clients trust Matt to be able to deploy his team quickly and effectively to ensure the best possible return.”

Matt is looking forward to the challenge of his new role. “Much has changed since I joined Cerberus five years ago,” he said. “At that time there were just under 50 people in the team and the turnover was £3.3m. Today we have grown to 80 people and doubled the turnover. And this year we are set to outperform market conditions by posting our best results since the company was established in 2001.”

“Our reputation for providing a diligent, fast and efficient service is continuing to grow and I am looking forward to helping to build on the success we have achieved to date.”

Cerberus Asset Management forms part of the Cerberus Group, which also includes Cerberus Receivables Management.
